Gloucestershire Police Hunt Hit-and-Run Driver After Child Hit

Police in Gloucestershire are urgently searching for witnesses following a hit-and-run involving an 11-year-old boy. The youngster was struck while walking home from school on Wednesday, 27 September.

Boy Hit on Tommy Taylors Lane

The collision happened around 1.50pm on Tommy Taylors Lane near the Leisure at Cheltenham junction. The boy was crossing the road when a white vehicle hit him, knocking him to the ground. He suffered bruising and swelling to his face.

Driver Stopped Then Fled

Witnesses say the driver, described as a man aged 40-50 with short hair, initially stopped and got out of the car. But shockingly, he fled before the boy’s parents could arrive. The car was coming from the Pittville Park direction.

Police Appeal for Information and Dash Cam Footage

Gloucestershire Police want to speak to the driver and any witnesses. They’re especially keen on dash-cam footage to help track down the culprit. Anyone with info should fill in an online form on the Gloucestershire Police website. Quote incident number 246 of 27th September.
