Shocking Assault Caught on Camera in Herne Bay
Woman Brutally Attacked in Parked Car
Police are hunting a key witness who reportedly filmed a violent assault in Herne Bay. The shocking attack happened on Monday, 27 March 2023, between 6pm and 7pm in a stationary black Peugeot parked on Mortimer Street.
A woman was injured after opening the car door, when a man known to her suddenly unleashed a barrage of punches while standing outside the vehicle.
Suspect Arrested, Police Seek Witness
Two days later, on Wednesday 29 March, officers arrested a 32-year-old Herne Bay man in connection with the assault. The attack is believed to have been captured on a passer-by’s mobile phone. Police urgently want to speak to this witness to aid their investigation.
