Valentine’s Day Horror on Busy Beaper Shute
Police are urgently seeking witnesses after a terrifying car crash on the Isle of Wight left a man with a broken back. The smash happened just before 11am on Valentine’s Day along Beaper Shute, a busy route in and out of Ryde.
Driver Loses Control of Porsche 911
The victim, a 41-year-old man, was behind the wheel of a blue Porsche 911 heading towards Ryde when he suddenly lost control. The high-speed collision was so severe firefighters had to cut him free from the wreckage.
Injured Motorist Rushed to Hospital
The man was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital where doctors confirmed he suffered a broken back. Police Constable Lucinda Critchlow said: “At the time of the incident, there were numerous other vehicles using Beaper Shute.”
Police Plead for Witnesses
