Hero Attacked After Saving Woman from Youth Gang on Banks Road
A brave man stepped in to help a lone woman being pushed by a group of youths on Banks Road at 7pm on Saturday, 26 March. But his good deed sparked a brutal assault.
Youth Gang Viciously Beat Rescuer
The group turned on the man with a savage attack. They kicked and punched him repeatedly, leaving him with fractured ribs. He was rushed to hospital but has since been discharged.
Merseyside Police Seek Public’s Help
Merseyside Police are on the hunt for three males believed to be involved in the incident. Officers released images of the suspects and urged anyone who recognises them or witnessed the attack to come forward.
“This was a sustained and shocking attack on a man who was simply not prepared to accept the poor behaviour of the youths involved,” said Detective Inspector Emma Kerrigan.
“If you recognise the males pictured, or witnessed any part of the incident on Banks Road, then do let us know as any information you hold could prove vital in our efforts to bring those responsible to justice.”
