Woman hit by car on busy Southampton road — police launch hunt for witnesses
Pedestrian hit on Bitterne Road West
A woman in her 40s was struck by a black Audi A4 around 10pm on Monday, May 2. She was crossing the dual carriageway at the junction with Rampart Road in Bitterne when the collision happened.
Driver in his 50s involved
The car was driven by a 51-year-old man. Police are appealing for anyone who saw the crash or a woman in the area just before the accident.
Police want dashcam footage and witnesses
Officers are also keen to speak to anyone who saw the Audi being driven before the collision or who has dashcam footage of the incident or the surrounding area.
The road was shut for several hours during the investigation but has now reopened.
