Terrifying Dog Attack Near Scarborough Beach Leaves Woman Injured

Woman Bitten and Dragged to Ground by Bull Terrier

Chaos erupted near Holbeck Hill, Scarborough, around 9.20am on Monday 17 October 2022 when a woman and her friend were walking their dogs. An English Bull Terrier suddenly attacked their pets before sinking its teeth into the woman’s leg. She was dragged to the floor and suffered painful puncture wounds.

Police Hunting Terrier’s Owner

North Yorkshire Police are urgently appealing for information about the incident. They are especially keen to speak with a man seen walking the aggressive Bull Terrier at the time.

  • White male, aged 40-50
  • About 5ft 9in tall
  • Bald or very short hair
  • Slim build
  • Wearing a black waist-length coat with a hood

Dog Description and How to Report

The dog is described as having a distinctive tan stripe down its back and a white neck.
