Shocking Discovery: 101 Dead Lambs Dumped in Radlett Field
Police are hunting for suspects after a gruesome haul of 101 dead lambs was found dumped in bags at Hill Farm, Radlett. The lambs were discarded between 3pm on Thursday, April 7 and 3.45pm on Friday, April 8.
Locals on Edge as Police Seek Witnesses
PC Mike Morris of the Bushey and Radlett Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “This incident has understandably caused concern in the rural community. We want to find out where these lambs came from and who dumped them.”
He added, “We believe the culprit(s) likely used Kemprow Road to access the farm. If you saw anything suspicious in this area during the stated times, please come forward.”
Police Investigate as Flytipping, Ask for Vehicle Sightings
PC Richard Donbavand from Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Rural Operational Support Team (ROST) said the case is being treated as flytipping for now.
“We think the lambs were transported in a vehicle the size of a box van or flatbed lorry. We urge anyone who saw such a vehicle near the farm during this time to contact us immediately.”
Police are working with the National Farmers’ Union and advise farmers to secure their land by locking gates and adopting other protective measures.
