Sex Attack Shakes St James’ Park
A chilling sex assault took place in St James’ Park between 4pm and 7pm on Tuesday, 8 June. Police only reported the incident on Saturday 19 June.
Man in Black Mask Targeted Young Girl
A man approached a young girl in the park and sexually assaulted her. He is described as white, in his 50s, wearing all black clothing and a face mask. Witnesses noted he smelled strongly of alcohol.
The victim is now receiving support from specially trained officers.
Police Hunt Witnesses and Suspect
Officers have been carrying out extensive inquiries around St James’ Park. They want to hear from anyone who was in or near the area between 4pm and 7pm on 8 June.
