Tragic Crash Claims Life of Young Wimborne Man on A31
Fatal Accident Near Burley Exit
Just before 4.20am on Saturday 15 April, police rushed to the scene after a car veered off the road near the Burley exit on the A31 westbound.
Driver Dies at Scene
The driver, a 24-year-old man from Wimborne, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Specialist officers are supporting his devastated family.
Police Hunt Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage
Officers are now appealing for anyone who saw the crash or the moments leading up to it to come forward. PS Chris Thompson of the Roads Policing Unit said:
“Did you see a grey Audi A3 heading westbound on the A31 just before 4.20am? Maybe you were driving nearby or have dash cam footage that could help our investigation.”
