Tragic Cyclist Death on A10 Melbourn Road
A horrific crash on the A10 Melbourn Road near Coombelands left one cyclist dead and another injured yesterday morning.
Fatal Collision Involving Lorry and Two Cyclists
The smash happened around 10:40am on Tuesday 9 November. A lorry collided with two cyclists — a man and a woman, both in their 50s.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but sadly the male cyclist died instantly. Police have informed his next of kin. The female cyclist fell but escaped with minor injuries.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage
“Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this very difficult time,” said Sergeant David Burstow from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit. “We’re keen to hear from anyone who saw the crash or has dash cam footage.”

Man Arrested Over Crash, Now Released Under Investigation
A man in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and failing to stop at the scene. He has since been released while enquiries continue.
