Serious Assault Sparks Horror Crash on M3
A brutal assault on the M3 Northbound slip-road at Junction 11 sparked a shocking collision yesterday afternoon. The violent episode left one man clinging to life and caused chaos on the motorway.
Man Fled Scene After Attack
The drama unfolded at 4.06pm on 14 November near Winchester. A 59-year-old southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton man was attacked on the carriageway but managed to escape the scene to avoid further harm. He was rushed to Southampton General Hospital with serious but thankfully not life-threatening injuries. After treatment, he has now been discharged.
Suspect Left Fighting for Life
The alleged attacker, a 21-year-old from Winchester, was spotted on the hatched markings before crashing into a vehicle. He was also taken to Southampton General Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
M3 Shut for Hours as Police Probe Incident
Police shut the M3 for several hours to investigate the violent incident, reopening the road around 11.30pm. Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage to come forward and help piece together exactly what happened.
