Vandal Strikes Vital Defibrillator in Newick

Shock as defibrillator at King George V car park pavilion in Newick is smashed and its contents scattered across the ground.

The damage happened late Friday evening, around 7.35pm, police say. The life-saving device was found wrecked the next morning, Saturday 1 October.

Police Hunt Offender in Life-Threatening Vandalism

Officers have launched an active investigation with multiple leads in pursuit. A police spokesperson slammed the attack as “despicable” and warned it could put lives at risk.

“This is a despicable act, which could endanger lives, and we need anyone who can help to get in touch with us.”
