Toddler’s Tragic Death: Police Probe Final Hours
Emergency crews rushed to a reserve on Sunday 30 May at 8.21pm after two-year-old Greyson Birch was pulled from the water. Despite desperate efforts, Greyson died days later at Southampton General Hospital on Thursday 3 June.
Greyson Seen Earlier at Lakeside Country Park
Police reveal Greyson visited Lakeside Country Park in Eastleigh between 6.45pm and 7.15pm on the same day. He was wearing a blue striped top, dark shorts, and white trainers. He might have had a small push-along bike with him.
Police Seek Witnesses
Detective Inspector Matt Gillooly, leading the inquiry, said:
“We’re piecing together Greyson’s movements leading up to this heartbreaking tragedy. We want to hear from anyone who saw him or who he was with at Lakeside Country Park that afternoon. Even the smallest detail could be vital.”

Man on Bail Over Neglect Suspicion
An 18-year-old Southampton man arrested on suspicion of neglect remains on bail until 30 August.
