Thieves Snatch 12 Border Collie Pups in Dead of Night Raid
Thieves broke into Parsonage Farm in Bramshaw, New Forest, in the early hours of March 1st and made off with 12 Border Collie puppies and a breeding dog. The heartbreaking heist happened just after farmhands returned from lambing.
Break-In and Bold Puppy Theft
At around 1:40am, seven suspects were spotted prowling the farmyard. They smashed into multiple farm buildings, reportedly hunting for machinery. Instead, they fled with a black-and-white collie bitch and her 3-day-old pups, plus six 5-week-old pups—without their mother.
“A black and white collie bitch and her 3-day old pups have been stolen from Parsonage Farm, Bramshaw, New Forest. We need to find them! The puppies need a heat lamp and will die if they get cold. Also stolen: 6 x 5 weeks old collie pups WITHOUT their mother.”
Police Appeal for Info: Pups Could Be Sold Online
Hampshire Police have urged locals to stay alert. Officers fear the stolen puppies could be hawked online or sold cheaply in the area.
“We appreciate that these events will have a significant impact on the local rural community and we are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or caught people or vehicles on CCTV to come forward,” said Hampshire Police.
