Robbery Attempt Sparks Chaos on District Line Train

On the evening of 20 May, just after 8 p.m., a man tried to rob a passenger on a District line train between Notting Hill Gate and Wimbledon.

Suspect Caught After Violent Struggle

The 52-year-old suspect was quickly identified. During his arrest, he assaulted one officer and hurled racial abuse at another. He has since been arrested and released under investigation.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who saw the incident — especially a woman who flagged down officers at one of the stations.
