Fire Erupts in Hedgerow and Spreads to Corn Field

Kent Fire and Rescue Service rushed to a blaze in a hedgerow off Shirehall Road, Hawley, Dartford. The flames quickly jumped to a nearby corn field, sparking serious concern.

Five Fire Engines Battle the Flames

Crews deployed five fire engines and a fogging unit, using powerful hose reel jets to douse the fire and stop it spreading further. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the dramatic incident.

Police Investigate Possible Arson

Kent Police have stepped in, suspecting the fire was started deliberately. Officers are reviewing CCTV footage and believe there were potential witnesses nearby, including in local toilets at the time.
