Man Found Injured on Road After Hit and Run in Ipswich
Police were scrambled early on Saturday, 16 April after a man was found lying injured on Rowley Close at around 4:35am BST. The 50-something victim suffered serious head injuries and was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Thankfully, his condition has improved and he has since spoken to officers.
Hit and Run Suspected as Police Launch Investigation
Detectives believe the man was involved in a collision with a car that fled the scene. They are keeping an open mind about other possibilities. Two men in their twenties were arrested and later released on police bail, with a return date set for 12 May.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
- Officers want to hear from anyone near Rowley Close or Brooklands Road between 12:30am and 4:35am on Saturday.
- Motorists with dashcams in the area at that time are urged to check their footage and come forward.
