Teen Arrested in West Midlands Terror Probe
A 19-year-old man has been arrested in Wednesbury today, Tuesday 13 October, as part of a terror investigation by the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command.
Raid and Arrest Under Terrorism Act
The youth was detained under section 41 of the Terrorism Act and taken to a South London police station, where he remains in custody. The arrest came with the help of West Midlands Counter Terrorism Police, who are still searching the Wednesbury address.
No Imminent Threat to Public
Officials stress this is part of an ongoing proactive operation. At this stage, there is no believed threat to the public. Enquiries are continuing.
