Two Women Busted in Sutton-in-Ashfield Drug Sting After MOT Fail!

Suspicious Car Sparks Police Action

Ashfield Operation Reacher cops were patrolling Sutton-in-Ashfield at 1.10pm on 21 March when they clocked two suspects acting shady in a car. A quick check showed the vehicle had no valid MOT, prompting officers to pull them over in Ashgate.

Hidden Drugs Found in Vehicle

The suspects’ dodgy behaviour didn’t stop there. Officers searched the vehicle and uncovered suspected drugs hidden inside. Two women, aged 33 and 34, were arrested for possession with intent to supply.

Police Praise Sharp Instincts

Police Constable James Brown of Nottinghamshire Police said: “It is always good news when we can take suspected drugs out of circulation and destroy them. This was a great piece of work by the police team on patrol, with officers using their instincts to carry out a proactive car stop.”

“Stops like this are a police power we use daily to detect criminal activity and help keep communities safe.”

“I am pleased we arrested two suspects after this latest stop, but our investigation remains ongoing.”
