Chaos erupted on Christmas Day in Worksop as police arrested two men following a brutal assault. Emergency services rushed to Newcastle Street at 6pm after a 22-year-old man was found unconscious with severe head injuries.
Victim Rushed to Hospital with Serious Head Wounds
The victim was swiftly taken to hospital for urgent treatment. His condition remains critical as officers launched an immediate investigation into the violent attack.
Two Men, Aged 44 and 34, in Police Custody
Police detained two suspects, a 44-year-old and a 34-year-old man, who remain in custody as the probe continues. A cordon is still in place around Newcastle Street to preserve the crime scene.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Inspector Gail Routledge said: “This is a serious assault that has left a man with significant injuries. We arrived quickly on the scene and have arrested two men in connection with this incident. A cordon will be in place while we continue with the investigation.”
