Police want to speak to the man pictured below. They believe he holds crucial information about a vicious early morning attack in Market Jew Street. Another suspect, previously unidentified, has now been tracked down and is cooperating with the investigation.
40-Year-Old Victim Left Fighting for Life
The shocking assault happened just before 4am on Sunday, 15 August 2021. The victim, a 40-year-old man, was walking through the town centre when he was surrounded by a group of adults and one juvenile. After an argument, he was violently attacked, forced to the ground, and repeatedly kicked.
Arrests Made, Investigation Continues
- The victim was rushed to the Royal 1 Hospital, then transferred to Derriford Hospital. He remains in stable condition.
- A 14-year-old boy from Penzance was arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He has since been released under investigation.
