Knife-Wielding Man Detained in Brighton Standoff
Police have safely arrested a man after a tense incident on Queens Road, Brighton this morning (18 August).
Man in Distress Found with Knife
Officers were called at 11.36am following reports of a man in distress carrying a knife. The 35-year-old local man was taken into custody, and the knife was recovered. He is now held on suspicion of possession of a knife in public.
No Danger to Public, Police Confirm
Authorities stress there is no ongoing threat to the community. They also thanked the public for their vigilance and concern during the incident.
