Police are in hot pursuit of a man wanted over a series of shocking sexual assaults in Hove. The suspect, described as a bald bloke in his 40s with a Spanish or Italian accent, is often spotted wearing gym gear.
Early Morning Assaults Target Women at Hove Lawns
The attacks strike between 4.30am and 9.30am near Hove Lawns. Women out for a jog or cooling down say the man casually approaches, strikes up a chat, then assaults them over their clothes.
New Attacks Linked to Past Cases Despite Previous Arrest
- Police believe the recent assaults connect to incidents from 2023 and 2024.
- A suspect was arrested previously but later released without charges.
- The investigation remains a top priority for local authorities.
“Police are looking to identify this man in connection with reports of sexual assaults in Hove. Descriptions from the victims commonly describe the suspect as bald and in his 40s, with a Spanish/Italian accent and often wearing exercise clothes. An investigation is ongoing,” a police spokesperson said.
