Shock Sexual Assault at Rotherham Bus Interchange
At around 6.10pm on 22 April, a woman waiting alone at platform A4 in Rotherham Interchange was targeted by a stranger. The man sat beside her and struck up a conversation before reportedly sexually assaulting her.
Suspect Flees on X22 Bus
After the attack, the unknown man made a swift escape by boarding the X22 bus. Police acted quickly and arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of sexual assault. He has since been released under investigation.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Rotherham CID is urging anyone who was at the interchange around 6pm on 22 April to come forward. Officers want to hear from anyone who might have seen or heard anything related to the incident.
