Police Hunt Woman After Elderly Lady’s Handbag Snatched in Nottingham

Police are on the lookout for a woman linked to a handbag theft from an elderly shopper in Nottingham city centre.

Mobility Scooter Victim Targeted in Poundland

The incident happened between 2.30pm and 3pm on 11 March in a Poundland store on Lower Parliament Street. The victim, an elderly woman, had her handbag stolen while she was out shopping on her mobility scooter.

Officers Release Images, Urge Public to Come Forward

After investigating, officers have now released two images of a woman they believe holds vital clues. They are appealing for anyone who recognises her to get in touch immediately.

“The victim was simply going about her day – no one deserves to have their personal items stolen,” said PC Aaron Harthill-Harrison. “If you recognise this woman, please contact us on 101, quoting incident number 209 of 12 March 2023, or make an anonymous call to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
