Warning After Suspected Contaminated Heroin Hits Salisbury

Police have issued a stark warning to Salisbury and wider Wiltshire residents over a suspected tainted batch of heroin. The alert comes after three people suffered medical incidents linked to heroin purchased earlier today (22/08).

Three Medical Emergencies in Just Hours

The incidents happened between 3pm and 7.30pm, with two reported in Mill Stream and one at Old George Mall. Authorities believe all cases involve the same contaminated heroin batch.

Police Urge Caution: Avoid Illegal Drugs

“Our primary message is always to steer well clear of any illegal drug use,” said Duty Inspector Gavin Nix. “However, these three similar incidents have raised serious concerns about contaminated drugs causing further harm.”

Police say the suspect heroin was sold in brown paper bags. Anyone who thinks they have this batch is urged to contact police immediately on 101 or dial 999 if it’s an emergency.

Ongoing Investigation, Information Wanted

Inspector Nix added: “We’re conducting a detailed investigation to track down those responsible. If you have any info, please call 101 quoting log 286 of today’s date.”
