Bloodied Audi Smashed with Machete in Shocking Woodford Attack
A brutal late-night attack on Chingford Lane, Woodford, has sparked a major police probe after a luxury Audi A3 was left wrecked and a woman narrowly escaped serious harm.
Audi Slashed and Smashed in Violent Rampage
On Sunday evening, emergency crews found the Audi A3 Sport TFSI S-A mangled beyond recognition. The car’s front end was smashed, the windscreen caved in, and both rear side windows shattered. But the most chilling detail was the rear window – hacked apart with a machete, leaving jagged glass edges and deep slashes across the frame.
Blood splattered the bonnet, with a blood-soaked cloth draped over a nearby brick wall — clear signs someone was injured during the savage attack.
Woman Escapes With Minor Injuries
Witnesses described a visibly shaken woman at the scene shortly after the violence. Police confirmed she escaped without serious injury, but details remain scarce, including whether she was inside the car when it happened.
Scotland Yard Launches Full Investigation
Metropolitan Police detectives have taken charge, sealing off Chingford Lane overnight into Monday. Specialist teams are combing CCTV from nearby homes and traffic cameras to track down those responsible.
The road stayed closed well into Monday morning, triggering traffic chaos across Woodford.
