Man Stabbed to Death in Chingford Murder Horror
A chilling murder probe is underway after a man was fatally stabbed at Chingford Mount on Monday evening, August 9.
Tragedy at Chingford Mount
Met Police rushed to Churchill Terrace following reports of a disturbance at 6.20pm. Officers found a 38-year-old man with stab wounds. Despite desperate efforts from paramedics and London Air Ambulance doctors, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim, believed to be a local resident, has not yet been formally identified. His next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
Crime Scene and Ongoing Investigation
A crime scene remains in place as detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command lead the inquiry. Police say the investigation is “in the very early stages” and are sifting through witness accounts and CCTV footage.
A spokesperson said: “No arrests have been made at this time.”
MP and Police Appeal for Witnesses
Local MP Ian Duncan Smith commented: “I’m aware of a serious incident around Chingford Mount which police are dealing with. I’m in touch with the Borough Commander and will update as soon as there is any further information.”
Shockingly, a documentary camera crew filming with London Ambulance Service was attacked during the incident.
