Police swooped on Swindon today after a teenager was kidnapped in a shocking afternoon attack.
Three Arrested After Kidnap at Greenbridge Retail Park
At around 2pm, officers were called to Greenbridge Retail Park following reports of a suspicious incident. A teenager was reportedly kidnapped during the chaos.
Weapons Found in Eldene and Park South
A swift police response saw a huge operation unfold in Eldene and Park South. Police helicopter support helped officers recover weapons, including a bloody knife and a metal pole, hidden in bushes near 1 Lake.
Victim Found Safe; Police Confirm Arrests
A spokesperson for local police confirmed:
“A 19-year-old man from Swindon has been arrested on suspicion of kidnap and affray, and two 15-year-old teens from Swindon have been arrested on suspicion of kidnap. They are all currently in police custody.”
The kidnapped teenager has been located safe and well. So far, authorities believe no one was injured. Police also clarified that the incident is unrelated to the major events currently being investigated in 1 and Salisbury.
Enquiries remain ongoing as officers piece together what led to the terrifying ordeal.
