Police Release Images of Clothing Worn by Victim Lucy McHugh

Detectives hunting for answers in the tragic death of Lucy McHugh have released images of the distinctive clothes she wore before she was found dead in Southampton.

Lucy’s Last Known Outfit

Lucy was last seen wearing a:

  • Black jacket with white sleeves, featuring the band Falling in Reverse logo on the front and “RADKE 01” in red on the back
  • White vest top
  • Camouflage leggings
  • Black and white Jordan 23 trainers

Her hair was lighter — blonder — than earlier photos released, and she wore large hooped earrings, police say.

Timeline and Investigation Details

Lucy left her Southampton home on Mansel Road East around 9.30am on Wednesday 25 July. Her body was discovered the following day, Thursday at 7.45am, in woodland near the Sports Centre.

Detectives revealed Lucy died from stab wounds. They are keen to find any sharp implements — be it knives, scissors or other bladed items — especially in the Sports Centre area.

“Even if someone has discarded an item in a bin, we want to try and recover it,” said Detective Superintendent Paul Barton.

Appeal to the Public

Detective Superintendent Barton appealed directly to the public:

“We’re hoping the images and clothing descriptions will trigger memories. If you saw or spoke to Lucy after she left home, please get in touch. Your information could be crucial.”

“We ask the public not to speculate on social media. It hinders the investigation and disrespects Lucy’s memory. Let us do our job and find the truth.”

Current Status and Contact Details
