Police have launched a fresh appeal for witnesses following a fatal fail-to-stop crash in Bristol. The smash happened at around 7.10pm on Sunday, September 24, involving a 70-year-old pedestrian and a white Honda moped on King George’s Road in Bishopsworth.
Crucial witness urged to come forward
Officers are especially keen to speak to the rider of another motorcycle, thought to be a delivery driver, who was nearby but not involved in the collision. Detectives believe this witness could hold key details about what led to the fatal incident.
Family mourns lost loved one
The victim has been named as David Watkins of Bishopsworth. He sadly died in hospital earlier this month. His heartbroken family described him as a “loving father, brother, uncle, great uncle, and friend” with many treasured plans still to come.
“David had many years of life ahead, with holidays and family gatherings planned. We are devastated and will always remember him,” the family said.
