Shop Robber Nabbed After Morning Raid
Lee Shopland, 31, from Willow Way, Guildford, has been jailed after admitting to robbing Prime Wines. The daring theft happened at around 7.30 a.m. when Shopland stormed into the store on 1 Road.
£200 and Cigarettes Snatched From Shop Counter
Without hesitation, Shopland pushed past a shop assistant and grabbed £200 in cash and a haul of cigarettes. The assistant tried to stop him, but Shopland broke free and made a clean getaway.
CCTV Footage Cracks the Case
Police quickly identified Shopland using CCTV footage from the scene. He appeared before Guildford Crown Court, where he pled guilty and was sentenced to prison.
