One Year On: Hunt Continues for Missing Mum Denise Jarvis
With the first anniversary of Denise Jarvis’s disappearance fast approaching, South Gloucestershire police are renewing their desperate plea for information. The 44-year-old mum from Kingswood was last seen on the evening of Wednesday, August 3, in Southey Park. Since then, she has vanished without a trace.
Investigation Intensifies After Year of No Sign
Det Chief Insp Ben Lavender spoke about the heartbreaking impact on Denise’s loved ones. “We know how devastating this continues to be for Denise’s loved ones, and our thoughts remain very much with them,” he said. He urged locals to think back to their activities on that day — any detail could crack the case wide open.
Police have left no stone unturned. More than 700 investigative actions have been taken, and officers have contacted over 90 people connected to Denise. Extensive searches in and around Southey Park have employed cutting-edge tech, including police divers and drones. Yet, no new CCTV footage or sightings after that fateful night have emerged.
New CCTV and Images Released in Hopes of Breakthrough
Authorities have now released fresh CCTV footage showing Denise the day before she vanished. She is clearly seen wearing a grey, thigh-length sleeveless coat in the park. To add to this, police have shared images of two bags found in the area—though they believe Denise had other bags that remain missing.

Gloucestershire police are begging anyone who saw Denise after August 3 or knows anything about her disappearance to step forward. Information could bring long-awaited answers to her devastated family.
