Off-Road Riders Clash with Police at Darenth Country Park

Kent Police cracked down on off-road bikers causing chaos in Darenth Country Park on 10 and 11 April 2021. Officers responded after reports of motorbikes being ridden dangerously inside the public park.

Five Riders Nabbed and Warned

On patrol, cops caught five riders tearing through the park. Each was slapped with a Section 59 warning letter. This legal notice ordered them to quit the area immediately — and warned that future anti-social riding would lead to their bikes being seized.

Police Warn Against Anti-Social Behaviour in Parks

“We take reports of anti-social behaviour seriously,” said Inspector Sarah Rivett of Dartford’s Community Safety Unit. “Often it’s a small minority ruining it for everyone, but their actions hit a large community hard.”

“Our parks and open spaces are for everyone to enjoy safely. They’re not playgrounds for off-road motorbikes. We’ll keep cracking down on anyone caught causing trouble.”
