Joint Patrols Hit Central Park and Train Station

Salus, a local Ashford support group, teamed up with Kent Police’s Violence Reduction Unit on Wednesday 25 August 2021. They hit the streets, chatting with young people in Central Park and around the train station. The goal? To reduce violence and build trust in the community.

Fearless Van Sends Powerful Knife Crime Message

Officers were backed by Fearless, a Crimestoppers service aimed at young people and their families. The Fearless van, plastered with eye-catching ads, helped spread vital messages to those worried about knife crime in the area.

Police Promise Safety and Support

Inspector Paul Diddams from Dartford’s Community Safety Unit vowed: “We want our local young people to know we’re here to protect them and offer advice and help whenever needed.”

He added, “Working closely with our partners ensures a united front against crime. We will keep a visible presence across Ashford and beyond.”

Young people with concerns are urged to ring Kent Police on 101, or call 999 in an emergency.
