Midnight Burglar Fails to Break into Homes in Downswood
In the early hours of Saturday, 18 February 2023, a suspect tried to sneak into homes on Longham Copse, Downswood. Although the intruder tested several door handles, they made off empty-handed. Police are still investigating and want to know if other nearby properties were targeted.
Police Hunt for Key Witnesses and CCTV Footage
PC Maddison Jarvis urged residents to check their security cameras. “The suspect is believed to have entered rear gardens and tried to gain access between 1am and 2am,” she said. “We’ve done house-to-house enquiries but may have missed people with vital footage. Those in neighbouring streets should check their cameras too.”
