Crash Chaos on A9 Near Aviemore: Serious Injuries Reported

Two Cars Collide at Granish Junction

A nasty smash broke out on the A9 near Aviemore on Friday night. At around 8.45pm, a 33-year-old woman behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Astra collided with a Mercedes A-Class driven by a 21-year-old woman at the Granish junction.

67-Year-Old Passenger Injured

Emergency services rushed to the scene. A 67-year-old woman passenger in the Mercedes was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness with injuries sustained in the crash.

Police Seek Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage

Sergeant Brian McEwen from Perth’s Road Policing Unit is pleading for help:

“Our enquiries into the cause of this collision are ongoing. We urge anyone who saw what happened to come forward. We’re particularly keen to get any dash-cam footage from motorists driving on the A9 around the time of the collision.”
