Schoolboy Assaulted and Robbed of Mountain Bike in Portsmouth
A Portsmouth mum has made a heartfelt plea for the return of her son’s stolen mountain bike after a brutal street robbery.
Thugs Attack 13-Year-Old Near Pub
The 13-year-old boy was walking home around 4pm on Thursday when two yobs cornered him near the Good Companion Pub. The youngster suspects the pair had been following him along Goldsmiths Avenue.
Dragged Off Bike and Punched Twice
The thugs, aged between 14 and 16, put the boy in a headlock and dragged him off his bike. They then punched him twice in the face, leaving him with two black eyes before fleeing with the stolen mountain bike.
Desperate Mum’s Plea for Conscience
Speaking from her Portsmouth home, the shaken mum said, “Please, if you have any conscience, return my son’s one and only joy.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses
The attackers are described as stocky – one white, the other black. Police have been informed. Anyone with information about the bike or who witnessed the attack is urged to contact Hampshire Police on 101.
