Scooter Owners on High Alert After Spate of Thefts in Thanet
Thanet is seeing a surge in scooter and moped thefts – and owners are being warned to stay sharp.
Multiple Thefts Raise Concern
Police are probing the disappearance of a green Vespa taken from Mere Gate, Margate. The theft happened between 1am and 8am on Saturday, 5 March 2022. Not long before that, a red Neco scooter vanished from St Mildred’s Road, Westgate, sometime between 28 February and 4 March.
To make matters worse, an attempted theft was reported at 1.30am on Monday, 7 March, on Manston Road, Ramsgate.
