Concern Rises for Missing Eastbourne Woman
Police are desperate to find Sophie Orell, 25, who vanished from Eastbourne at 1pm on Monday, 7 October. Sophie is autistic and battles mental illness, raising fears for her safety.
Last Seen Leaving Care Home
Sophie didn’t return to the care home where she lives. Despite a huge overnight search, she remains missing. She has shoulder-length blonde hair and wears glasses.
What Sophie Was Wearing
- Fluffy white jumper with Olaf the Snowman logo
- Black leggings
- Grey trainers
She has no money or phone but carries a bus pass on a lanyard. Police believe she has no extra clothes with her.

“It is vital that anyone seeing her or having knowledge of where she might be contacts us without delay. We encourage them to call 999, quoting serial 652 of 07/10.”
