Police Chase Ends in Arrest After Break-Ins Shaken Westerham
Within just 45 minutes of a break-in at a Westerham home, police were hot on the heels of two burglary suspects — and nailed them fast.
High-Speed Pursuit Sparks Foot Chase
The drama kicked off after officers responded to an attempted burglary at a Tonbridge address on 1 Road at 5.30pm on Tuesday, January 24. A search for the getaway vehicle led cops to Hartley Road in Westerham, where another suspected break-in was spotted.
Multiple police patrols spotted and chased an Audi A4, which hit speeds of up to 100mph. The suspects bailed in nearby Chipstead, ditching the car to make a run for it on foot.
Suspects Nabbed in Woodland Hideout
After a thorough search, officers found two men, aged 39 and 19, hiding in a nearby wooded area. Both were arrested and are now in custody.
The Chief Constable’s Crime Squad is leading the investigation.
