Shoreham Football Club has been hit hard after a gang of youths stormed their training ground and smashed up the goal posts. The damage happened twice, on April 24 and May 5, both times between 4:00 pm and 4:15 pm, leaving the local club counting a hefty repair bill.
Youths Cause £3,200 Damage to Local Football Club
The troublemakers broke into the club’s training ground on Middle Road and unleashed serious vandalism. The goal posts were left badly damaged, with repair costs expected to top £3,200 – a big blow to the community club.
Police Speak Out: Local Footballers Left Reeling
Police Constable Will Dorman slammed the destruction as a “huge impact on the local footballing community.” He urged anyone who saw the vandals or knows something valuable to step up.
