Two Arrested After Fatal Stabbing in Crawley
Police swooped early Sunday morning following a brutal stabbing at a block of flats in Crawley. The chilling attack left a man in his 20s dead despite emergency first aid from officers and paramedics.
Swift Police Action and Arrests
Officers responded to reports of the stabbing on Arthur Road at around 5.30am on 13 August. A rapid search operation used a police drone and the National Police Air Service helicopter to hunt down suspects.
The effort paid off with the arrest of two men: a 22-year-old from London and a 23-year-old local Crawley man, both now in custody on suspicion of murder.
Targeted Attack, No Wider Threat
“We are treating this as a targeted attack with no threat to the wider community, and we are not seeking anyone else in connection with it at this time,” said Detective Superintendent Andy Wolstenholme.
He added, “This is a fast-moving investigation and the public can expect to see an increased police presence in the area in the meantime. Please come forward if you have any information that could assist us.”

The victim’s next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers. Police urge anyone with information to contact them online or call 101 quoting Operation Churchtown.
