Man Arrested After Teen Girl Harassed on Burnley Train
British Transport Police (BTP) have nabbed a man just 24 hours after a 17-year-old girl reported being harassed and stalked on a train to Burnley.
Rapid Police Response
The terrified teenager alerted BTP last week, revealing the man had persistently followed and harassed her throughout the journey. Officers from the Preston unit swung into action and quickly tracked down the suspect, making an arrest within a day.

Keeping Railways Safe for All
BTP urges all passengers to report suspicious behaviour immediately. They’re on a mission to keep trains safe, especially for vulnerable travellers.
To tackle harassment, stalking, and unwanted sexual behaviour, BTP has ramped up patrols and launched awareness campaigns across the rail network. Victims can discreetly text 61016 to alert officers, who act fast—just like in this case.
