Teen Girl Shot in Camden Drive-By Horror
A teenage girl was rushed to hospital after bullets flew in a shocking drive-by shooting in Camden late on Saturday night.
Gunfire Erupts During Block Party
At around 10pm on 14th August, armed police and paramedics stormed Clarence Gardens, NW1, after a speeding car opened fire with an automatic weapon, sending five shots blazing. One bullet struck the young girl amid the chaos, which unfolded during a local block party.
Witnesses described “around five loud bangs” before a car sped around the corner. One bystander who rushed to the victim’s aid said:
“I watched the girl fall and cry out in pain. I ran over to help her and kept telling her she was going to be alright. I stayed with her until the police arrived.”
Stabbing Adds to Night of Terror
Adding to the horror, a man was stabbed in the same area during the event. Police immediately set up a large crime scene and a helicopter scoured the skies to track down the fleeing offenders and their getaway vehicle.
Police Investigate as Calm Returns
Clarence Gardens remains cordoned off as officers hunt the suspects. The Metropolitan Police have been approached for comment.
