Man Found Dead in Littlehampton Street Sparks Murder Probe
A murder investigation is underway after a man’s body was found in Gladonian Road, Littlehampton.
Tragic Discovery and Arrest
Police were alerted around 6am on Sunday 28 January. Despite paramedics’ efforts, the 51-year-old local was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin are being supported by specially trained officers.
A 16-year-old boy from Littlehampton has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
“We understand this is a shocking incident for a close-knit community in Littlehampton; my condolences are with the family and friends of the victim,” said Detective Superintendent Andy Wolstenholme.
“We are working hard to establish the facts surrounding the tragic events of last night, and need the assistance of the public, especially anyone who was in Gladonian Road between midnight and 6am, on foot or in a vehicle.”
“We also urge people to avoid speculating on social media and to contact police directly with any information.”
