Teenager Dies in Deadly Canterbury Crash – Police Hunt Witnesses

A tragic smash on the A2050 near Canterbury has claimed the life of an 18-year-old man. Police are urgently seeking witnesses to piece together what happened.

Crash Details: Ford KA and Mondeo Collide

The fatal collision involved a black Ford KA and a blue Ford Mondeo. It happened at around 10.05pm on Tuesday, 13 July 2021. The KA was pulling onto the A2050 from Upper Harbledown at the Wingate Hill junction, while the Mondeo was headed towards Canterbury.

Emergency Services at Scene

Officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) arrived alongside South East Coast Ambulance and Kent Fire and Rescue Service. Sadly, the Ford KA driver died at the scene. Three others suffered minor injuries and were treated accordingly.

Police Appeal for Dashcam Footage and Witnesses

The SCIU is probing the cause of the crash and needs help from the public. They’re keen to speak to anyone who saw the cars before the smash or has dashcam footage.
