Shoreham Assault Shocker: Two Men Attacked in Unprovoked Attack

Two men were left battered after an unprovoked attack near Shoreham railway station on Wednesday, August 2, at around 6.25pm. The first victim, aged 38, was confronted by a gang of youths as he stepped out onto Western Road. The group tried to snatch his tobacco before turning violent.

When a 50-year-old man stepped in to help, he was also attacked. Both victims suffered facial injuries in the shocking assault.

Youth Gang Nabbed After Shoreham Beach Sighting

Shortly after the attack, some of the teens were spotted hanging around Shoreham Beach. Police swiftly arrested six teenagers – five boys and one girl – in connection with the assaults. All have been released on bail as the investigation continues.

Police Call for Witnesses and Footage

Sussex Police are urging anyone with mobile footage, CCTV, or dashcam recordings of the incident to come forward. Witnesses are asked to report information online or call 101, quoting case number 1333 of 02/08.
