Violent Theft at Boots in Market Place
Just before 1pm on Saturday, 27th February, two men stormed into the Boots store in Market Place and swiped over £1,000 worth of facial cream products. They stuffed the haul into a rucksack and tried to make a clean getaway.

When a staff member challenged the thieves, an ugly fight broke out. The pair kicked the employee in the head and face, leaving them with a suspected broken nose, cuts, swelling, and bruising around the eyes. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene, who fortunately did not need hospital admission.
