Violent Theft at Boots in Market Place

Just before 1pm on Saturday, 27th February, two men stormed into the Boots store in Market Place and swiped over £1,000 worth of facial cream products. They stuffed the haul into a rucksack and tried to make a clean getaway.

Staff Member Brutally Attacked

When a staff member challenged the thieves, an ugly fight broke out. The pair kicked the employee in the head and face, leaving them with a suspected broken nose, cuts, swelling, and bruising around the eyes. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene, who fortunately did not need hospital admission.

Police Urge Public to Help

PC Jamie Gosling from Wantage police station is on the hunt. He said: “I am releasing these images of two people who I believe may have important information that can assist my investigation into this incident.”

PC Gosling added: “If you believe you are one of the men in these images, please get in touch with police.”
