Gold Watch Stolen in Folkestone Distraction Burglary
Police have released CCTV footage amid an investigation into a sneaky distraction burglary in Folkestone.
Victim Duped by Fake Gas Inspector
A man in his seventies was targeted at his Foord Road home between 9am and midday on Thursday, 6 May 2021. An unknown man knocked, claiming he needed to check the gas and fire alarms.
Trusting the stranger, the victim let him in and briefly left him alone. When he returned, his precious gold watch had vanished.
Priceless Omega Seamaster Watch Stolen
The stolen item is a rare Omega Seamaster watch, over 50 years old, featuring a 9-carat gold bracelet-style strap.
Officers have urged anyone who recognises the man in the released CCTV image to step forward and help crack the case.
